Since I added this Lowriser Monkeylite Bar to my bike (back sweep of 0.75), I have no strain in my wrists or lower back. Furthermore, this bar does reduce vibrations. Together with a stiff frame, and fork such as the Lefty, the result is precise steering, better control and ergonomic seat position. I used a flat bar on this bike before that and the lowriser fits my riding style much better. The only downside I can think of, is the potential that the bar will snap if you over-torque it or crash, unlike aluminum or titanium, which bend.
This bar was 26 inches wide, to wide for my taste. I sawed of an inch from each side, 24 inches is much better for me. Check out the Easton site before you cut/saw your carbon bars. |

This handlebar is meant for XC riding only. Easton makes a thicker carbon riser bar for downhilling and freeriding.
